Overview

Electromechanical strength test is an significant test for electrical ceraimic insulator of overhead lines. It is an necessary and basic type test for manufacturer and research institue to inspect quality of porcelain disc insulator, during which high voltage is applied to both end of disc insulator ( ball & socket ) and at the same time certain mechanical tensile load is applied to insulator to simulate online environment.
This combined electromechanical strength tester is designed to perform such test of insulators, it is made of two parts:
Mechanical part: universal testing machine to perform tensile/compression test.
Electrical part: electrical power transformer to generate high voltage.
